How to Make Orange Chicken
Orange chicken is one of the Chinese dishes that is very popular among people who like eating spicy foods. These are typical Chinese dishes that can be anything starting from mild to very spicy depending on the quantity of chili sauce that is used.

You need to get started by placing few chicken pieces (that are cleaned and boiled) in a large glass bowl. You can also make use of plastic bowl but it is recommended to use a glass bowl as it is easier to clean. Add a few eggs along with seasonings like salt and pepper and one tablespoon of edible oil to these chicken pieces and mix it well. When mixing you have to be sure that the spice is mixed well with the chicken pieces. Now take a second bowl and mix a little corn starch with a small amount of flour. After this you have to take the chicken pieces and add them to this mixture, dredging with an aim to coat them just perfectly with corn starch and flour.
When preparing orange chicken you have to ensure that you don’t make it too spicy or else it might taste more like chili sauce than chicken. Take some vegetable or peanut oil and heat it in a deep fryer pan or wok till you have heated it to attain a temperature of 375 degrees. When adding chicken to it always try to add it in small batches to the oil (around three or four pieces at a time would be recommended). You need to fry these pieces for about three to four minutes until the chicken pieces get a golden brown look. Always avoid overcooking the chicken or else it might become too crispy.
After they are done, you can remove the chicken pieces from the deep fryer and place them on paper towels so you can drain off the excess oil. Now to cook further you can either clean the deep fryer or use another fresh clean pan. Stir fry garlic and ginger in this pan and after a few seconds add finely chopped onions and chilies to this mixture. If you wonder how to make orange chicken to get the perfect taste, then you have to add a little rice wine to this mixture and stir it for a few seconds while simmering. Add the orange sauce, bring it to a boil, add the chicken pieces, and keep stirring until the chicken is well coated. Add a small amount of water to the corn starch and flour mixture and add this to the chicken. When the chicken has been sufficiently heated, the sauce will thicken. If desired, you can also try adding a small amount of sesame oil or olive oil along with a zest of orange according to your taste. Now your orange chicken is ready to be served along with white rice.
